Google announced the launch of
App Engine. It's a soup to nuts service for web developers - not a la carte like Amazon. Developers can concentrate on creating software without worrying about
servers or
data storage. Is Google looking for
dibs on the hottest apps?

Prodege creates sites for bands like Kiss that are powered by Google and Ask.com. Users can get
swagbucks which they can trade for... well... swag.
Some drama in the Microsoft camp! It turns out Windows 7
won't be available in 2009 as I reported on Monday, and Microsoft won't say why
Bill Gates said it would. We won't see the new OS until 2010.
And then Yahoo
goes and tells Microsoft, "Hey, we didn't say we don't want your money! We said we want MORE of your money!" And they're also willing to negotiate for it.
