There were tons of April Fools pranks on the internet yesterday. Did you get
RickRolled? Or perhaps you signed up to
colonize Mars? Michael Arrington isn't really
suing Facebook by the way - and Yahoo didn't really
accept Microsoft's bid.
Well, not yet. Actually,
Microsoft said they didn't see any reason to pay more for Yahoo than they've already put on the table. Who will save Yahoo now?
Apple's marketshare is
looking pretty good. The percentage goes down a little bit when you expand the view to worldwide, but it's still an overall improvement.
Speaking of market share, Mozilla is celebrating their
10 year anniversary of Firefox, and they've
doubled their numbers this year.
Google documents is
going offline. So you can still access them if your cable modem dies or if you're on a plane.
The format wars are over, but the
keyboard wars still rage. The
Blackberry 9000 looks a LOT like an
iPhone with buttons.
The Vietnam Veterans Memorial has gone
online and interactive. It has just as much of an emotional impact as the real thing.
