Blodget used to be a top Wall Street analyst. He once predicted Amazon would double in price to $400 a share, and a few weeks later it did. Then emails came out that he didn't believe his own hype, he was charged with fraud, and the settlement banned him from the securities industry for life. Now he's a blogger, and no one has a sense of humor when he again talks of huge share prices, such as his assertion that Google will go to $2000, or, most recently, that TechCrunch will sell for $100 million. I wonder what he thinks WebbAlert could sell for?
Henry Blodget does do some interesting analysis, however, and supports his assertions. Hesays Microsoft is losing 50 cents on every dollar of advertising that it sells. Check it out to see his reasoning.
OK enough about Blodget, but more about Microsoft - Their iPod competitor, the Zune gets an update.
JustinTV just got funded. You know, the guy who strapped a camera to his head and broadcast his whole life? Yeah, that guy. Oh, and you can do it to!
Check out the first episode of BoingBoing TV.
Want to put the CD you just bought onto your iPod? Maybe you thought you were doing the right thing by buying the CD for $15 rather than just buying one song off iTunes. Well the music industry thinks you're stealing.
Forget breathing into your palm, your cell phone will be happy to tell you if you have bad breath.
A great post on the financial model of a start-up.
