Microsoft is pinning a fifteen billion dollar valuation on the social network - they are getting 1.6% of the company for 240 million. It's a little odd, because Microsoft CEO Steve Ballmer told the Times of London that social networks were a fad. Two New York hedge funds will also throw in an additional quarter billion. I wonder what Facebook is gonna buy with all that cash?

Microsoft reported that earnings for the third calendar quarter jumped by twenty-seven percent.

Apple releases Leopard tonight at 6pm, with 300 new features. Walt Mossberg thinks that while Leopard is better and faster than Vista, it's still evolutionary rather than revolutionary.
